    DHX9 is a member of the DEAH family of proteins, which possess a double-stranded RNA-binding domain (dsRBD) and a helicase domain. It unwinds double-stranded DNA and RNA in a 3' to 5' direction. Alteration of secondary structure of DHX9 may subsequently influence the interactions with proteins or other nucleic acids. It is also a component of the CRD-mediated complex that promotes MYC mRNA stability.
